Division II expects its members to operate their athletics programs with integrity and in a welcoming manner that complies with conference and NCAA rules and regulations. Institutional control is a fundamental principle that supports the educational mission of a college or university and assumes presidential involvement and oversight.
Division II considers compliance to be a teamwork approach in which all members of the athletics department and other personnel across campus who are associated with athletics conduct the program with the highest levels of integrity and fairness.
To support this commitment, each member institution shall employ at least one individual who serves as a full-time compliance administrator with no coaching responsibilities.
