Student-Athlete Degree Outcomes

These dashboards display the types of degrees NCAA student-athletes earn and how patterns vary by division, gender, race/ethnicity, and sport. The interactive dashboards below illustrate what these student-athlete graduates majored in and how academic choices evolve over time.

These dashboards were previously titled “Diploma Dashboards” — the term “degree” is now used to reflect the academic credential being earned.

About the Data

What the degree dashboards include and how the data is structured.
Undergraduate Focus
Data reflects completed bachelor’s degrees only, not current enrollment or intended majors.
Cohort-Based Reporting
Aggregated by graduating classes across sports, divisions, and demographic groups.
Field of Study Groupings
Majors are grouped into broader academic categories to enable comparison.
Comparative Analysis
Allows for comparison between student-athlete outcomes and the general student body at NCAA Division I and II institutions.

How to Read These Dashboards

These dashboards show aggregate patterns across groups over time — not individual student-athlete outcomes. For most accurate insight, examine the data separately by race and gender. Proportions differ between the student-athlete population and the overall student body, so combining them can obscure meaningful patterns.
