About the Get in the Game Program
The Get in the Game program is a collaborative effort between the NCAA and the National Football League to help middle and high school students better understand the academic, amateurism and health and safety expectations connected to playing college football. The program introduces students and families to the core requirements needed to stay on track for NCAA eligibility while highlighting the opportunities available at the collegiate level.
Through the NFL’s Play Football initiative, the program offers online, onsite and interactive learning experiences designed to educate young athletes on the pathway from youth football to high school and, ultimately, college football. These resources emphasize strong study habits, smart academic planning and responsible participation in the sport.
The NCAA Eligibility Center plays a key role in delivering the program’s educational components by providing clear information on Division I and II initial-eligibility standards. Students learn how to use Eligibility Center tools, understand certification requirements and make informed decisions as they explore future opportunities in football.
This program is designed to help young athletes stay informed, stay eligible and stay on track for future opportunities in college football.
