If you are a student-athlete with a passion for sports and communication the Division III College Sports Communicators (CSC) Student Program is your chance to explore a career in Division III athletics communication. Held each June in conjunction with the College Sports Communicators Convention, this Division III–focused program offers a fully funded opportunity to gain hands-on experience, build your professional network and take the next step toward a future in sports information.

Only athletics directors, senior woman administrators, sports information directors and conference offices may nominate student-athletes for this program.

Current Division III student-athletes.

This event is in-person only.

Time Commitment

This event is a three-day experience.

Participants leave the program with a clearer understanding of careers in Division III athletics communication, a stronger professional network within CSC and Division III, and increased confidence navigating professional events such as conventions and networking sessions.

Eligibility

Student-athletes are nominated in February by athletics directors, sports information directors or conference offices through the NCAA Program Hub. Preference is given to:

  • Juniors by academic standing
  • Student-athletes who express an interest in athletics communication or working in a conference office
  • Those with a strong interest in a career in Division III athletics communication

Student-athletes who believe they may qualify should contact their athletics director or an athletics communications staff member. They can help confirm eligibility and support you with the nomination process.

Each institution or conference office may nominate up to two student-athletes. Final selections are made in late March.
