In addition to three new members on the committee, Jeff Konya, director of athletics at San Jose State, had his term renewed for an additional two years. Konya's appointment now runs through Aug. 31, 2028.

Elcano is the deputy athletics director for external operations and advancement at Oregon State. A former basketball student-athlete, she currently is the women's basketball sport supervisor for the Beavers.

Fiorvanti is the deputy director of athletics and senior woman administrator at UConn. She previously served on the NCAA Women's Volleyball Rules Committee.

Montgomery is the commissioner of the Big South Conference and is the conference's first appointment to the Division I Women's Basketball Committee. She was the two-time chair of the NCAA Committee on Women's Athletics and most recently served as the vice chair of the Women's Basketball Invitation Tournament Selection Committee. Montgomery is a former basketball student-athlete.

"Sara, Annie and Sherika are exceptional administrators who bring a deep passion for women's basketball. Their extensive experience across college athletics — as student-athletes, coaches, administrators and previous members of NCAA committees — will be tremendously valuable to the Women's Basketball Committee. This role requires a significant commitment of time and energy, and we are grateful for their willingness to serve at such a pivotal moment, as our sport and championship continue to grow, evolve and push toward innovation," said Lynn Holzman, NCAA vice president of women's basketball.

The remaining eight members of the committee for 2026-27 are Kristen Brown, deputy athletics director and senior woman administrator at Nebraska; Vicky Chun, director of athletics at Yale; Liz Darger, senior associate athletics director and senior woman administrator at Brigham Young; Josh Heird, director of athletics at Louisville; Marvin Lewis, assistant vice president and director of athletics at George Mason; Jill Redmond, deputy commissioner at the Missouri Valley Conference; Ashleigh Simmons, senior associate athletics director and senior woman administrator at Western Carolina; and Candice Storey Lee, vice chancellor and director of athletics at Vanderbilt.

Darger will serve as the committee chair for 2026-27.
