The individual winner of the 2026 NCAA Division I Women's Golf Championships will be extended an amateur exemption by the Ladies Professional Golf Association to compete in the 2026 Standard Portland Classic on Aug. 13-16.
The NCAA Division I Women's Golf Championships will take place May 22-27 at the Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California.
The winners of the 2026 U.S. Women's Amateur, The Women's Amateur Championship and the Augusta National Women's Amateur will also be extended exemptions into The Standard Portland Classic in Portland, Oregon. The tournament is one of the longest-running events on the LPGA Tour.
While the winner of each of these amateur events has historically received exemptions into at least one of four women's golf major championships, this will be the first time that the winners of all four of these amateur events will have the opportunity to compete in the same LPGA Tour event.
"This is a great opportunity for women's collegiate golf and for the student-athletes competing at the NCAA Division I championship," said Courtney Trimble, the chief executive officer of the Women's Golf Coaches Association. "The level of play in women's college golf is incredibly high, and giving the NCAA champion the chance to compete in an LPGA Tour event is a natural next step. It shines a spotlight on the talent coming through the college game and creates an exciting bridge between collegiate golf and the professional level."
The Standard Portland Classic will take place at Columbia Edgewater Country Club and is one of the longest events on the LPGA Tour.
