Division I September 2026 Vacancy Timeline

Nominations Due October 19, 2026

In anticipation of legislation being approved in January 2027, we are starting the process to solicit nominations for the committee listed below:

• NCAA Women’s Flag Football Committee – staff contact: Ryan Tressel. Seven January 2027 vacancies. There must be one representative from each division. Three positions must be filled by administrators. One position will be filled by a Division I student-athlete. Committee preference: individuals who have experience/expertise with women’s flag football.

Nominations Due October 20, 2026

• NCAA Divisions II and III Men’s Basketball Playing Rules Committee – staff contact: J.D. Hamilton.  One immediate Division II vacancy replacing Vince Alexander.  The individual may be a coach or administrator. The following Division II Conferences are currently represented and therefore not eligible for this vacancy: American Rivers Conference, New England Small College Athletic Conference, Presidents’ Athletic Conference, Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
• NCAA Divisions II and III Women’s Lacrosse Playing Rules Committee -staff contact: J.D. Hamilton.  One immediate Division II vacancy replacing Anne Martin.  The individual may be a coach or administrator. The following Division II Conferences are currently represented and therefore not eligible for this vacancy: East Coast Conference and Peach Belt Conference.

In anticipation of legislation being approved in January 2027, we are starting the process to solicit nominations for the two committees below:

• NCAA Women’s Flag Football Committee – staff contact: Ryan Tressel. Seven January 2027 vacancies. There must be one representative from each division. Three positions must be filled by administrators. One position will be filled by a Division I student-athlete. Committee preference: individuals who have experience/expertise with women’s flag football.
• NCAA Division II Men’s Volleyball Committee – staff contact: Ethan Walker. Four January 2027 vacancies. Committee preference: Geographic diversity. Two positions must be filled by an administrator.

Nominations Due October 20, 2026

• NCAA Division III Women’s Tennis Committee – staff contact: Ray Gaddis.  One immediate vacancyreplacing Thomas Linhart.  Individual must be an administrator from Region II.
• NCAA Division III Men’s Wrestling Committee – staff contact: J.P. Williams.  One immediate vacancyreplacing James Kelley.  Individual must be from Region I and can be a coach or administrator.
• NCAA Division III Student-Athlete Reinstatement Committee – staff contact: Julie Zike. Two immediate vacancies. One individual from Area 1 and one from Area 4 (must be from: CA, CO, TX, OR, WA)
• NCAA Division III Financial Aid Committee – staff contact: Eric Hartung. One January vacancy from Area 3.
• NCAA Division III Membership Committee – staff contact: Eric Hartung. One January vacancy. Individual must be a faculty athletics representative from Area 2.

• NCAA Divisions II and III Baseball Playing Rules Committee – staff contact: Stanley Broaden.  One immediate vacancy (replacing Michael Impellittiere).  Individual may be a coach or administrator.  The following Division III conferences are currently represented and therefore not eligible for this vacancy: Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference, Landmark Conference, and Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
• Division III Baseball Committee– staff contact: JP Williams.  One immediate vacancy (replacing Michael Armstrong).  Individual must be from Region VII and may be a coach or administrator.
