Change is made due to arena renovations in Bridgeport
The NCAA Division I Men’s Ice Hockey Oversight Committee elected to move the 2027 NCAA Bridgeport regional to Hartford, Connecticut. On March 25-28, PeoplesBank Arena will host the event for the first time.
Total Mortgage Arena in Bridgeport, Connecticut, is undergoing renovations and unable to host the event. The NCAA worked with local host Sacred Heart and arena management to move the games to Hartford.
Selections for the 2027 NCAA Division I Men’s Ice Hockey Championship are scheduled for Sunday, March 21, when 16 teams will be chosen to compete for a national championship. Other regional sites include Fargo, North Dakota; Loveland, Colorado; and Springfield, Massachusetts. The 2027 Men’s Frozen Four will be April 8-10 at Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C.
