Fencing Playing Rules
Fencing competitions in the United States are governed by a version of international rules established by the International Fencing Federation and adapted for domestic use by USA Fencing. These rules serve as the standard framework for all sanctioned events unless otherwise specified. USA Fencing is responsible for adopting, updating, and enforcing these regulations. The rules apply broadly to national championships, ranked competitions, and most local events conducted under USA Fencing oversight, with updates periodically published online to ensure consistency and clarity across the sport.
