About the Convention
The convention provides student-athletes and administrators with an opportunity to grow personally and professionally, build relationships with peers across Division II and return to campus with ideas they can use to strengthen their SAAC.
Student-athletes selected to attend will gain leadership skills, learn ways to elevate the student-athlete voice, develop an action plan to further promote mental health on campus and increase their knowledge of Division II student-athlete initiatives and the Make It Yours brand.
Who Attends
Each Division II conference in the eligible super region will select:
- Two student-athletes from each active member institution.
- One administrator from each active member institution.
- One administrator from the conference office.
Conference commissioners may also attend, but they must cover their own expenses if another conference office administrator is attending.
Eligibility and Selection Criteria
The DII SAAC Super Region Convention is a unique educational opportunity. When selecting participants, consideration should be given to student-athletes with a diverse representation of experiences and those who have a positive influence on their campus and within the community.
Participants should meet the following criteria:
- One female student-athlete and one male student-athlete should be selected from each active member institution. Single-gender institutions may nominate student-athletes of the same gender.

- Student-athletes must have athletic eligibility and be participating in an NCAA-sponsored sport during the current academic year.
- At least one student-athlete from each institution must have at least one year of athletic eligibility remaining beyond the current academic year.
- Student-athletes must be in good academic standing according to institutional requirements.
- Student-athletes must be active volunteers in the community.
- All participants must have demonstrated the ability or a strong desire to lead.
- All selected participants are expected to participate in all convention activities.
