The Division III Athletics Direct Report (ADR) Professional Development Program engages ADRs in best practices to oversee and manage athletics programs and strengthen relationships with presidents, athletics directors and conference commissioners. The program focuses on enhancing ADR effectiveness and involvement at the campus, conference and national levels through networking and interactive learning with peers and expert presenters.

The program includes in-person programming conducted during the NCAA Convention, followed by webinar sessions in the spring and fall. Virtual programming typically takes place in March/April and again in August/September, allowing participants to continue learning and networking throughout the year.

Eligibility

  • New ADRs: Up to 20 participants each year. Eligible ADRs include those who have served in the role for at least one year or who have not previously attended the ADR Institute
  • Experienced ADRs: Up to 20 participants who have served more than two years in the ADR role and previously attended the ADR Institute

ADRs interested in participating should contact their athletics director, conference commissioner, president or chancellor to discuss nomination for the program.

Nominations and Selection

Nominations are accepted from conference commissioners, institutional presidents or chancellors, and athletics directors. Nominations are submitted via Program Hub from Aug. 1 to Sept. 15.

Once nominated, individuals will receive instructions to log into Program Hub to complete their nominee profile and respond to the nominee questions.
