The office of legal affairs provides legal counsel to the Association, governance committees and national office staff. The team advises on contract negation, strategy, policy drafting, rule-making questions and other requests for legal advice. The office also manages outside counsel to represent the Association and directs legal strategy.  

The legal affairs intern will assist in providing overall service offerings covering a broad range of subject matter, including, contracts, subpoenas, discovery, regulatory support, intellectual property enforcement and privacy.

The introduction of this new position will provide interns who are interested in this department the opportunity to provide support in various regulatory matters, to assist with investigations of intellectual property infringements and more.
