Enforcement - Postgraduate Internship

2019-20PGIP_Enfo5R7A0033_20180902.jpg

Enforcement is the department within NCAA regulatory affairs that investigates potential violations of Association legislation and processes those violations, sometimes bringing the cases to hearing or resolving them on the written record. The mission is to protect and sustain the NCAA enduring values through fair and efficient development, investigation and processing of cases.

The enforcement interns support and assist the staff in monitoring, investigating and processing violations of NCAA legislation.  This includes reviewing and processing self-reported Level III violations, and possibly the opportunity to provide case support to investigators on major cases.

Interns who have worked in the enforcement department have gone on to jobs in compliance and/or administrative positions at member schools and conference offices in all three NCAA divisions.

Check out the job description for the three internships within enforcement here.

 Intern Perspective

“I think you would be hard-pressed to find another opportunity in which, as an intern, you get exposure to different fields in the industry; insight to the procedures and processes utilized by the enforcement department at the national office; learn from an extremely talented and knowledgeable staff; and are entrusted to begin processing secondary/level III cases from the membership, all within the first weeks of employment.”
Lydia Adeosun, 2018-19 enforcement intern
“Interns are given the chance to work with investigators in conducting research on major infractions cases that may end up appearing in front of the Committee on Infractions. It is rare to find this kind of experience that affords interns a diverse collection of opportunities in such a fast-paced environment.”
Sara Dilanjian, 2018-19 enforcement intern
