The administrative services group, in support of the NCAA and its financial mission, is committed to responsible and ethical stewardship of the Association's information, physical, human and fiscal assets. The administrative services group is dedicated to providing the highest quality of service and support for an environment conducive to excellence and change.
There are two internship positions available in administrative services. The finance and accounting intern is primarily responsible for assisting the finance and accounting team with a focus on championships finance and general accounting. Alternatively, the rotational internship gets broad exposure to internal audit, operations, information technology, human resources, and business performance management.
Interns who have worked in the administrative services have gone on to work in the NCAA administrative services and championships groups, public accounting, athletics business offices on campus, national governing bodies, or obtained a certified public accountant license.

Intern Perspective
"As the finance and accounting intern, I am gaining hands-on experience in both the Accounting and Championships Finance departments. While most of my accounting duties occur during month-end close and include creating journal entries and completing reconciliations, I have been able to assist with many other projects that help support our 90 championships. During my time at the national office, I have been able to work on several value-add projects such as the financial summarization of Women’s Final Four bids for the 2021-2024 host cycle as well as overseeing the actual spend and budget reallocations for our men’s and women’s basketball officiating clinic cost centers. I have also been able to assist with approving host expenses within the bid and profile system after our championship hosts submit their revenue and expenses."]"
"As the administrative services rotational intern, I am gaining diversified knowledge and experience by working in six different areas within the department. This has given me the opportunity to interact and work with a lot of different NCAA staff members. Some of the work that I get to do includes performing financial audits of the Division I men’s basketball host sites, assisting the operations staff with the NCAA Convention and supporting the full-cycle recruitment process for the upcoming postgraduate internship cohort."
