What is the ADID?
The ADID is a staff member designated by the chancellor/president or commissioner (or their proxy), who serves as the conduit for information related to national-, local- and campus-level issues of diversity and inclusion and supports diverse and inclusive practices related to athletics.
How does a school or conference submit its ADID to the NCAA?
Annually on August 1, the contact information for the ADID is submitted through the NCAA Sports Sponsorship and Demographic Form.

ADID Community Connections
The NCAA office of inclusion has introduced a new initiative for ADIDs. ADID Community Connections is an opportunity to connect with other ADIDs; receive tools and resources related to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging, and engage with the NCAA office of inclusion through Q&A. This ongoing initiative is an informal meeting centered on building community and connecting ADIDs to helpful information.
ADID Community Connections will be hosted on the following dates.
- February 13, 2025: Division Specific

ADID Education
The office of inclusion has developed two education modules for ADIDs, now available in the Learning Portal. The modules are a part of ongoing efforts to provide ADIDs with foundational education around diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging. You can search “ADID” in the Learning Portal to access them, or search by name:
Module 1: Understanding Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging
Module 2: Identities, Intersectionality and Belonging
Four additional modules will be released in the Spring and Summer of 2025.
NCORE Virtual Connections
The NCAA’s inclusion, education and community engagement unit, in partnership with the National Conference on Race and Ethnicity, will provide complimentary access to NCORE’s fall 2024 online conference, NCORE Connections, to 150 ADIDs. NCORE Connections has impactful education sessions on relevant diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging topics. ADIDs will have access to all of sessions until June 2025.
