The NCAA Division II Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Super Region Convention is intended to bolster student-athlete participation in the Division II governance structure and foster communication among SAACs at the campus, conference and national levels. The super region convention debuted in November 2017 as part of the division’s Foundation for the Future initiative. Since then, the program has been approved by the Division II governance structure to occur annually.

Student-athletes selected to attend will return to campus with invaluable leadership skills, ways to strengthen the student-athlete voice, an action plan to further promote mental health on campus, and knowledge of Division II student-athlete initiatives and the Make It Yours brand. The program will engage a diverse representation of student-athletes and administrators from the campus and conference levels. Participants will grow personally and professionally, gain a network of friends and return to campus with ideas they can implement to boost their SAAC.

Division II conferences in the eligible region will select two student-athletes and an administrator from each of their active member institutions, as well as a conference administrator. Nominations are submitted through the NCAA Program Hub.

The 2023 convention is open to active member institutions in the Conference Carolinas, Gulf South Conference, Independent institutions in the South Region, Peach Belt Conference, South Atlantic Conference, Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and Sunshine State Conference.

Attendance at the convention is at no cost to the participants, institutions or conference offices – the NCAA pays for airfare or mileage, shuttle transportation, lodging and meals during the super region convention; however, rental car fees are not reimbursed.

The next Division II SAAC Super Region Convention will take place November 17-19, 2023, at the Westin Peachtree in Atlanta, GA.
