The NCAA Board of Governors is the Association’s highest governing body. It provides strategic direction, establishes priorities and oversees key policy decisions that impact all divisions and member schools.

The board consists of nine voting members and seven ex officio nonvoting members, representing leadership across the Association.

What the Board Does

• Sets the overall direction for the NCAA
• Oversees Association-wide policies and initiatives
• Addresses issues affecting all three divisions
• Supports student-athlete well-being and the future of college sports

The board works on behalf of the membership to ensure the NCAA operates in a way that supports student-athletes, promotes fair competition and upholds the integrity of college sports.
