The NCAA Accelerating Academic Success Program (AASP) Summit is an annual professional development conference designed to support AASP eligible DI institutions. The Summit serves as a collaborative space for sharing best practices, building community, and maximizing the impact of both peer-to-peer engagement, best practice sharing strategies and/or awarded grant funding for student-athlete academic success.
What the Summit Offers
Hosted by the NCAA Inclusion, Education and Community Engagement (IECE), the AASP Summit is tailored specifically for schools with a shared commitment to academic equity and achievement and student support. The AASP Summitt provides:
- Professional development for administrators working directly with student-athletes.
- Peer-to-peer learning sessions built around real campus challenges and feedback.
- Strategies and tools to help institutions implement and sustain academic support initiatives.
- Opportunities to share and learn from innovative approaches across AASP eligible institutions.
Why It Matters
The AASP Summit is an extension of the NCAA’s commitment to academic excellence, especially for institutions that have historically operated with fewer resources. The event helps schools unlock the full potential of their grant dollars while ensuring student-athletes receive the support they need to thrive in the classroom and beyond.
As part of the NCAA’s broader mission, the Summit reflects the values of the Committee on Academics and the IECE office to support student-athletes and those who teach, coach, mentor and guide them.
