NCAA's Impact Award

The newly reimagined NCAA Impact Award — formerly known as Today’s Top 10 — celebrates the very best of college athletics by honoring one exceptional male and one exceptional female senior student-athlete from each division. These distinguished honorees, selected from the prior academic year, exemplify the highest standards of athletic excellence, academic achievement, and service to their campuses and communities. Chosen by the NCAA Awards Committee — composed of leaders from NCAA member schools and conferences, as well as nationally renowned figures including past award recipients — the NCAA Impact Award represents the pinnacle of student-athlete recognition.

2025 Award Winners

Rémi Drolet, Harvard 

Rémi Drolet, a team captain, finished his college skiing career as a three-time All-America honoree. He also won the NCAA title in the 20-kilometer classic in 2023 and represented Canada at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics. Drolet graduated magna cum laude. He also earned College Sports Communicators Academic All-America honors twice and was inducted into Harvard's chapter of Phi Beta Kappa. Drolet contributed to research projects on quantum field theory and wave turbulence and the development of a self-assembly platform.

Riley Felts, Charlotte 

Riley Felts earned multiple All-America honors and was a two-time Division I national runner-up in pole vault. She graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor's degree and completed a master's degree in geoenvironmental engineering. She also earned several academic honors, including multiple College Sports Communicators Academic All-America and All-District honors, as well as multiple merit-based scholarships. She served on Charlotte's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, including a stint as vice president of community service. She also took part in volunteer opportunities on campus and in the community, including for the Down Syndrome Association of Charlotte and for Samaritan's Feet. She won Charlotte's Pure Gold Community Service Award and Conference USA's Spirit of Service award in 2022.

Owen Grover, Wartburg 

Owen Grover earned All-America honors from multiple organizations, as well as being named the 2023 D3football.com National Defensive Player of the Year. Grover has also been recognized for his academic excellence, earning College Sports Communicators Academic All-America honors twice, being named the Division III Academic All-America Team Member of the Year for DIII football in 2023-24, and becoming the first Wartburg student-athlete to be recognized as a National Football Foundation National Scholar-Athlete. A three-year member of the Wartburg Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, Grover was involved in several community service activities, including volunteering at two hospitals and coaching wrestling at a high school. 

Lindsay Looney, Arizona State 

Lindsay Looney earned multiple All-America honors, highlighted by top-eight finishes in the 200-yard butterfly at the NCAA championships in 2023 and 2024. A team captain, she won Pac-12 Conference championships in the 500-yard freestyle and 200-yard butterfly. Academically, Looney graduated summa cum laude and is a member of the Arizona State Phi Beta Kappa chapter. She earned the NCAA Elite 90 award at the 2024 NCAA Division I Women's Swimming and Diving Championships, presented to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade-point average participating at the finals site for each of the NCAA's 90 championships. Looney was a member of the Arizona State Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and the EmpowHER club for female student-athletes, and she volunteered at the Ronald McDonald House. 

Kiki Milloy, Tennessee

Kiki Milloy earned multiple All-America honors. She was named to the 2023 Women's College World Series All-Tournament Team, capping a season where she led Division I with 25 home runs, setting a program record. Milloy graduated magna cum laude and was recognized as a College Sports Communicators Academic All-America honoree twice. She became the first softball player to earn the Torchbearer award, Tennessee's most prestigious student honor. She has been active in community service, founding Kiki Kamp, a softball camp for more than 100 girls, and co-founding D.O.P.E., an organization for multicultural graduate students in Tennessee's business school. She also volunteered for the Emerald Youth Foundation, the Special Olympics, Girls Inc. and other organizations.

Marc Anthony Minichello, Georgia, University of Pennsylvania

Marc Anthony Minichello won NCAA national championships in the javelin in 2022 and 2024. He earned multiple All-America honors and also won a pair each of Southeastern Conference and Ivy League championships in the event. Minichello earned All-Academic honors in 2019 and 2022 from the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. He has been involved in various leadership roles, including being a team captain at Georgia, serving on the campus Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and participating in the campus Student-Athlete Leadership Academy. His community service includes volunteering for the Special Olympics and local elementary schools.

2025 Today's Top 10: Rome Odunze

Rome Odunze, Washington

Before being the No. 9 pick in the 2024 NFL draft, Rome Odunze was a 2023 consensus first-team All-America honoree. He set a Washington record with 1,640 receiving yards as a senior to lead the Football Bowl Subdivision. Odunze also has been recognized for his academic achievements, being named to the 2023 College Sports Communicators Academic All-America team and earning Team Member of the Year honors. He also volunteered with Seattle Children's Hospital, Treehouse and Cancer Pathways. He participated in Washington's Purple Passport program, traveling to Rome for an immersive educational experience.

Cassie Pruitt, Auburn

Cassie Pruitt earned a pair of Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association All-America honors in the vault and all-around and won a Southeastern Conference title in vault in 2023. She received several academic honors, including a pair of College Sports Communicators Academic All-America recognitions, and twice was named an SEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year. She received the NCAA Ethnic Minority and Women's Enhancement Graduate Scholarship. In the community, she volunteered for Toys for Tots, the Ronald McDonald House and other groups. 

Shelby Robb, Metropolitan State University of Denver 

Shelby Robb earned multiple all-conference and All-America honors. She also became the school's all-time career batting average leader at .425, setting a single-season record with a .535 average in 2021. She received multiple College Sports Communicators Academic All-America honors, including being named the Academic All-America Team Member of the Year for softball in 2024. In the community, she worked with the Miracle League of Denver, providing inclusive sports opportunities for athletes with disabilities. Robb also spearheaded a social media campaign for MSU Denver's Women in Sport Management Panel, which featured influential women in the Colorado sports industry.

Daisy Woodring, Texas Woman's University

Daisy Woodring earned multiple All-America honors in the vault and beam. She also was recognized as the Midwest Independent Conference Athlete of the Year and the conference Woman of the Year in 2024. Woodring graduated summa cum laude and won College Sports Communicators Academic All-America Team Member of the Year at-large honors in 2023, as well as first-team honors in 2023 and 2024. She took part in numerous academic and research activities, including ones offered by the Athenian Honors Society and the Partnerships, Research, Innovation, Mentoring and Engagement program. She also received a Robert A. Welch Undergraduate Research Fellowship and a Willis Clark Research Endowed Scholarship in chemistry. Her community service contributions include volunteering for initiatives and organizations such as Make-A-Wish, a local holiday gift program and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
