The Legacy Lab empowers Division I sophomore and junior student-athletes to integrate their playing fields with entrepreneurship, offering them the tools to build lasting legacies. Learners will be allotted the opportunity to select from three tracks during this program:
- Brand in Motion: The NIL-focused track helps student-athletes who are interested in monetizing their name, image and likeness effectively.
- Blueprint to Breakthrough: The business entrepreneur track equips student-athletes with the essentials of starting and scaling a business.
- Built to Serve: The profit for good track encourages creating ventures that prioritize social responsibility alongside profitability.

Navigating the shift from athletics to entrepreneurship demands a tailored skill set. This program bridges that gap, focusing on personal branding, business acumen and applying sports skills to the business world.
Bridge skills from sports to business:Â Student-athletes will apply the discipline, resilience and teamwork they develop in sports to entrepreneurial ventures.
- Interactive sessions and mentorship focus on fostering confidence and an entrepreneurial mindset.
- The program supports business idea exploration, providing a space for brainstorming and feedback.
Establish a legacy mindset: The Legacy Lab inspires student-athletes to envision a future beyond athletics.
- Learners will develop a road map for potential ventures, crafting a plan or pitch to guide their entrepreneurial journey.
- They’ll emerge with a strengthened sense of purpose and motivation to build a meaningful legacy.
Who's Eligible
- Must be a sophomore or junior student-athlete from a Division I school and in good academic standing.
- A coach/director of operations, student-athlete development professional, academic advisor, senior women administrator or compliance administrator must nominate you through the Program Hub, verifying your academic standing and eligibility.
- Once nominated, complete the application in the Program Hub.
NCAA Contribution
If selected, the NCAA covers travel, lodging, meals and program materials during the program. This support ensures the learners can focus on gaining entrepreneurial skills without financial concern.
