Designed specifically for individuals newly appointed to the athletics director role, the Division III New Athletics Director Orientation provides foundational knowledge of Division III governance, leadership expectations and campus-level responsibilities. Participants engage in interactive learning with experienced Division III athletics directors and national office staff while building meaningful professional connections with peers across the division.
The program includes in-person programming during the NCAA Convention and a two-day, in-person gathering held in conjunction with the National Association of Division III Athletic Administrators (NADIIIAA) Summer Forum.
This NCAA–NADIIIAA collaboration emphasizes shared learning, professional networking and mentorship connections that extend beyond the in-person sessions.
Each participant receives a one-year NADIIIAA membership, as well as fully funded travel, registration and lodging for the Summer Forum. Upon completion, participants are matched with a mentor through NADIIIAA to support continued professional growth.
