The NCAA Enforcement Internal Operating Procedures (IOPs) provide guidance about how the enforcement staff investigates and processes potential rule violations.
The Enforcement IOPs reflect the responsibility of all parties – including the enforcement staff, NCAA schools and individuals subject to NCAA bylaws – to cooperate in order to discover facts and process violations in a timely manner. While the Enforcement IOPs do not reflect all of the enforcement staff’s activities, they work in conjunction with Bylaw 19 and the separate Division I Committee on Infractions Operating Procedures to provide details about interviews, document requests, charging guidelines, processing options and other elements of the infractions process. Â
The Enforcement IOPs are reviewed by the Division I Committee on Infractions and approved by the Division I Board of Directors.
