Note: To be eligible to serve on a divisional cabinet or committee, or as a divisional representative on an Association-wide or common committee, an individual must be salaried on a regular basis by an institution or conference in the same division and perform a regular staff function representing at least 50 percent of the normal workload for a staff member at that institution or conference, unless otherwise specified.
The NCAA is soliciting nominations for the following committee vacancies:
Division I
Division I nominations must be submitted by a Division I conference. Contact your conference if you are interested in being considered for any Division I committee vacancy.
Division II
Deadline: March 22, 2019:
The NCAA is soliciting nominations for an immediate chancellor or president vacancy on the NCAA Division II Academic Requirements Committee – staff contact: Susan Britsch. The Academics Requirements Committee recently added a position for a chancellor or president from an active member institution that is not represented on the Division II Presidents Council.
The Academic Requirements Committee reviews and considers issues related to Division II student-athlete academic requirements. The committee is responsible for reviewing the division’s academic standards and recommending policy and legislation regarding initial-eligibility, progress-toward-degree, and transfer requirements. Additionally, the committee reviews and establishes procedures for waivers of the requirements, and monitors trending data related to academic success and graduation rates. The committee meets in-person two times per year, in February and September, and meets by teleconference in June. Committee members are appointed to a four-year term.

The appointee will replace Lesley Irvine, Pomona-Pitzer Colleges, who will resign from the committee at that time. The appointee must be from the West region and can be a coach or administrator. Individuals with regional advisory committee (RAC) experience are encouraged to submit nominations for sports committees with RACs.
