Division II FAR Advanced Leadership Institute

The fifth NCAA Division II FAR Advanced Leadership Institute will be held September 30 to October 2, 2022, in Indianapolis, Indiana.

The purpose of the Division II Advanced Leadership Institute is

. . . to expand and continue the education of Division II FAR Fellows through an intensive and interactive process designed to further enhance their leadership skills.  Through intense discussions with other Division II FAR leaders, the FAR Fellows participating in the Advanced Leadership Institute will be able to build on their individual duties as FARs and increase the visibility of the role of FARs, while also creating an expanded network of professionals representing the voice of Division II FARs and developing tools and resources that may be used by the Division II membership.

FAR Fellows should review the Nominations Criteria and Desired Outcomes document for more information regarding eligibility and qualification. FAR Fellows must then complete the Nominations Form. In addition, in order to complete the nominations process, each conference commissioner is requested to complete a Statement of Endorsement for its nominee. A list of eligible FAR Fellows from each conference is also available for review.

Please note, as of Dec. 1, 2021, all visitors to the national office on Association business must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and must sign an attestation form before arriving on site. This policy is meant to ensure a safe environment for all members and NCAA staff.

The deadline for nominations is March 1, 2022.  It is anticipated that the FAR Fellows selected will be announced in April 2022. Expenses for the selected FAR Fellows to attend the Institute will be covered by a special NCAA Division II grant for this project.

Please feel free to contact Haydyn Gibson via e-mail at hgibson@ncaa.org if you have any questions about this event or the nominations process.
