Statement from the Division II Men’s Lacrosse Committee

Mercy informed the Division II Men's Lacrosse Committee on Friday that it is withdrawing from the Division II Men's Lacrosse Championship due to positive COVID-19 tests and contact tracing. Mercy was scheduled to play Mercyhurst on Sunday. That game will be considered a no-contest, and Mercyhurst will advance to the national semifinals May 23. The committee regrets that Mercy's student-athletes and coaches will not be able to compete in the quarterfinals of the tournament. Because of privacy issues, no further details will be provided.
