Annual conferences and seminars, as well as scholarships and grants, are funded by the Association to prepare student-athletes, postgraduate interns, coaches and administrators for leadership positions in college sports.

Champion Forum

The Champion Forum provides a unique yearlong professional development opportunity for current NCAA college football coaches to learn a realistic view of the role of a head coach and the preparation it takes to become a head coach in the college game

DII and DIII Diversity Grants

For more than a decade, Divisions II and III diversity grants have provided more than $20 million to fund 300 athletics administration and coaching positions for women and minorities.

Dr. Charles Whitcomb Leadership Institute

The Dr. Charles Whitcomb Leadership Institute assists ethnic minorities in strategically mapping and planning their careers in athletics administration by providing a year of professional development programming, which includes two, one-week programs at the beginning and conclusion of that year.

NCAA Inclusion Forum

The NCAA Inclusion Forum brings together higher education and intercollegiate athletics leaders and student-athletes passionate about improving the educational and professional environment for student-athletes, coaches and staff. Sessions engage on a broad range of topics related to policy, research and best practices that support racial and ethnic minorities; women; international student-athletes; lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning athletes; and athletes with disabilities.

Pathway Program

The Pathway Program is designed to elevate those in senior-level positions within athletics administration to the next step as a director of athletics. This yearlong program is an intensive, experiential learning opportunity for selected participants representing NCAA Divisions I, II and III.
