Committee Vacancies

Note: To be eligible to serve on a divisional cabinet or committee, or as a divisional representative on an Association-wide or common committee, an individual must be salaried on a regular basis by an institution or conference in the same division and perform a regular staff function representing at least 50 percent of the normal workload for a staff member at that institution or conference, unless otherwise specified.

The NCAA is soliciting nominations for the following committee vacancies:

Division I

Division I nominations must be submitted by a Division I conference. Contact your conference if you are interested in being considered for any Division I committee vacancy.

Division II

  • Sep. 2019 Division II and Association Wide Committe Vacancies
  • The NCAA is soliciting nominations for a September 1, 2019, chancellor or president vacancy on the NCAA Committee on Women's Athletics - staff contact: Amy Wilson. The Committee on Women's Athletics studies and makes policy recommendations concerning opportunities for women in athletics at the institutional, conference and national levels, as well as other issues directly affecting women's athletics. The committee meets in person two times per year - spring and fall. (One of the meetings each year is combined with the NCAA Minority Opportunities and Interests Committee). The committee also conducts a conference call in February. Committee members are appointed to a four-year term.

The NCAA is soliciting nominations for the following committee vacancies.  Individuals with regional advisory committee (RAC) experience are encouraged to submit nominations for sports committees with RACs.

Division III

The NCAA is soliciting nominations for the following committee vacancies. Individuals with regional advisory committee (RAC) experience are encouraged to submit nominations for sports committees with RACs.

  • Division III Interpretations and Legislation Committee - staff contact: Jeff Myers. One January 2019 vacancy. The appointee must be an ethnic minority faculty athletics representative. The following conferences are currently represented on the committee and are therefore not eligible for consideration: Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference, American Collegiate Athletic Association, Capital Athletic Conference, Commonwealth Coast Conference, St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, University Athletic Association.
  • Division III Nominating Committee - staff contact: Sharon Tufano. One immediate vacancy. The appointee must be an ethnic minority. The following conferences are currently, or will be, represented on the committee and are therefore not eligible for consideration: American Rivers Conference, Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference, Landmark Conference, Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference, New England Collegiate Conference, North Coast Athletic Conference, Southern Athletic Association, Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference.
  • Division III Rowing Committee - staff contact: Marie Scovron. One immediate vacancy. The appointee must be from the Mid-Atlantic region and may be a coach or administrator. The following institutions ARE eligible for consideration: Bryn Mawr College, Cabrini University, Franklin & Marshall College, Johnson & Wales University (Providence), Marietta College, North Park University, St. Mary's College of Maryland, Stockton University, Washington College (Maryland).
  • Division III Men's and Women's Track and Field and Cross Country Committee - staff contact: Laura Peterson-Mlynski. One immediate vacancy replacing Thomas Thomasson, Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, Camden, who resigned from the committee. The appointee must be a male athletics administrator from the Atlantic region (men's or women's track and field or cross country interests). Men's Cross Country regionsWomen's Cross Country RegionsMen's Outdoor Track regionsWomen's Outdoor Track regions. The New Jersey Athletic Conference is not eligible for consideration for this vacancy.
