Football can be perilous, but Aaron Golub’s parents had more reason than most to be apprehensive when their son first slipped on a helmet in middle school: Golub has been legally blind since birth. Golub cannot see out of his right eye and has severely limited vision in his left, but he became a skilled long snapper in high school, garnering attention from several Division I teams. He accepted Tulane’s preferred walk-on offer and is joining the Green Wave this fall. As for his parents? “They ended up getting over it.”
