Job Description: Bellarmine University Athletics has an immediate opening for an Assistant Men's Lacrosse Coach who will be responsible for recruiting, instructing and teaching student-athletes fundamentals, techniques, and strategy of the game of lacrosse, as well as supporting the Head Coach in all phases of the men's lacrosse program. Requirements: This position will: Provide instruction, individually or in groups, to student-athletes on academic success, personal growth, and the fundamentals, details and strategies of lacrosse. Study game and practice film, plan practice(s), and conduct drills and train in practice(s). Observe and evaluate training of student-athletes to determine need for individual improvement. Recommend training plan to the Head Coach. Analyze, scout and prepare in-game strategies and adjustments. Scout and recruit prospective players for enrollment at the University. Assist the Head Coach in the promotion of the lacrosse program (i.e. social media, networking, events, etc.) Abide by and comply with National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), Conference rules, academic standards, requirements and policies of the Department of Athletics and University. Additional Information: Off-field interactions include but are not limited to: Individual meetings with students for off-the-field goals, check-ins with players and university resources about academic performance, resources needed, connections and references to help with life skills and career development like job shadowing and internships, etc. Contribute to the overall success of the University's intercollegiate athletics program by performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
