This programming is developed for the athletics professionals who work each day to serve student-athlete needs on campus and at the conference office. Administrators learn about emotional intelligence and student-athlete welfare and diversity initiatives, improve as public speakers, enhance leadership abilities and identify the skills related to specific coaching assignments. The opportunity is also there to build a close-knit network of advisors and engage the decision makers in college sports.

In addition to exposure to university, conference and NCAA administrators, athletics professionals get real-time experience in budget management, strategic planning and fundraising, as well as university and NCAA compliance. Lessons include how to create comprehensive leadership curriculum for student-athletes and department staff; how to structure activities, facilitate discussions and build effective sessions; and create a leadership academy of your own on campus.
