Student-athletes interested in pursuing a career in athletics who are enrolled at AASP-eligible schools may be awarded the AASP Career Development Award, which covers registration to two NCAA professional development events, including the costs of travel.
To be eligible, a student-athlete must:
- Be a rising junior or senior
- Have a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher
- Be eligible for athletics competition
- Be available to attend both professional development events (Career in Sports Forum – June 1-4, 2017, in Indianapolis; AASP Annual Conference – July 26-29, 2017, location TBD)
Application Process
Student-athletes must be nominated by an athletics administrator or faculty athletics representative. Schools can nominate up to two student-athletes, but if nominating two, one must be male.

Applications are due March 6, 2017.
