Diversity Research

The NCAA compiles and provides statistical information regarding certain demographic characteristics of various groups within our member institutions and conferences. The demographic reports include information on student-athletes, coaches, administrators and conference personnel. The information provides a general view of recent and historical trends of the following racial and ethnic groups by gender, sport, division and position:

• American Indian/Alaskan Native
• Asian
• Black, Non-Hispanic
• Hispanic/Latino
• White, Non-Hispanic
• Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander
• Two or More Races
• Other

In addition to descriptive reports pertaining to the demographic makeup of NCAA institutions, issues concerning diverse groups of individuals are also explored.
