The NCAA News Massachusetts-Dartmouth hired Sarah Booker to lead its women’s lacrosse program as head coach. Booker comes from Wheaton (Massachusetts), where she was an assistant for the past three years. The position became vacant when longtime coach Jerry Jennings stepped down to take over the institution’s new sailing program. Seidman spent the previous seven years as assistant director of athletics at Brandeis … Providence extended the contract of athletics director Bob Driscoll by two years, keeping him at the institution through the 2017-18 academic year. Driscoll is entering his 10th year in the position … Sean Loyd was appointed athletics director at West Virginia State. Loyd held the position on an interim basis since 2008. Assistant athletics directors – Stony Brook appointed Patrick Muffley assistant athletics director for sports administration and Elizabeth Zanolli assistant athletics director for sports medicine. Coaches Men’s and women’s cross country and track and field assistants – Rensselaer added Allie Astolfi to its men’s and women’s track and field staff as an assistant. Men’s and women’s lacrosse – Kati Robbins is Thiel’s new head women’s lacrosse coach. Robbins comes to Thiel from St. Andrews Presbyterian, where she was head coach since 2009. Softball – Mercer chose James DeFeo as its head softball coach. DeFeo was formerly LSU’s associate head coach … Georgian Court named McKewn Dannelly head softball coach. Men’s and women’s swimming and diving – Brent Kintzer is Randolph-Macon’s new head men’s and women’s swimming coach. Kintzer was most recently an assistant at Carnegie Mellon for three years. Staff Communications – Loyola Marymount appointed Sarah Finney assistant director of athletics media services. Conferences The Big South Conference named Matt VanSandt assistant director of marketing. VanSandt recently earned his master’s degree from Ohio … The CUNY Athletic Conference hired Catherine Alves as strategic planning and special events manager. Additionally, the conference tabbed Annie Jan as a media relations graduate assistant and promoted Maya Johnson to assistant director of championships.
