The NCAA News The nine legislative proposals scheduled for a vote by Division III members at the 2010 Convention are the subject of a series of educational videos produced by the NCAA academic and membership affairs staff. This is the second year that the videos have been offered to help delegates prepare for voting on proposals at the Convention in Atlanta. Two of three planned videos now are available online, covering six of the nine proposals. A third video covering the other three proposals will be made available by early December. The first video is about five minutes long. In it, Kristin Nesbitt, NCAA coordinator of academic and membership affairs, covers four proposals (all sponsored by the Division III Presidents Council unless otherwise noted). The proposals would:

Details of the proposals will be published in the Official Notice of the Convention, which will be mailed November 15 to Division III institutions. The videos are among several resources being created by the academic and membership affairs staff to help delegates prepare to vote on proposals during the Division III business session January 16 in Atlanta. The staff also again will prepare a detailed Q&A to address questions about each proposal. That document will be provided to delegates as they check in at the Convention site. |
