Finalists named for 2014 NCAA Woman of the Year award

Nine student-athletes have been selected as finalists for the 2014 NCAA Woman of the Year award, which will be announced Oct. 19 during a ceremony in Indianapolis.

Woman of the Year finalist: Marisa Bast

Northwestern softball’s Marisa Bast was bullied in her youth. She fought back by establishing a successful anti-bullying program during her time in college.

Today's Top 10 winner and Woman of the Year finalist: Megan Light

Megan Light, an Emory softball player, plans to pursue a career in global health, traveling the world and educating impoverished communities about proper nutrition and other health habits.

Woman of the Year finalist: Bailey Vrazel

Bailey Vrazel dedicated herself to softball, service and academics during her time at Texas Woman’s University.
