PROP approves tweak to water polo penalty structure

Water polo officials will have more flexibility to address player conduct starting with the 2015-16 academic year.

Water polo subcommittee recommends tweak to penalty structure

The Men’s and Women’s Water Polo Rules Subcommittee recommended a small change that would allow officials to call 20-second exclusion penalties for minor acts of misconduct at any time, including while play is halted. If passed, the rule would go into effect for the 2015-16 academic year.

UCLA returns to winning ways

The University of California, Los Angeles, is a regular contender for the NCAA National Collegiate Men’s Water Polo Championship. Going into this year’s championship, UCLA had won nine times overall, including in 1969, the inaugural year. But, the Bruins hadn’t won a title since 2004.
