NCAA Leadership Advisory Board
Introduction
Informing the public about the mission and purposes of the NCAA is a challenging task. A group of citizen leaders have been appointed to an advisory board to assist the NCAA in communicating and advancing the mission of the NCAA.
The board provides an important leadership perspective from outside the NCAA governance structure; plays an active and meaningful role in advancing the mission of the student-athlete and the NCAA, including efforts to inform the public about the NCAA's role in preparing student-athletes for productive and meaningful lives through athletics and higher education; and, provides broad-based advice and counsel to the NCAA president reflective of each individual's background and experiences and of the general public at large regarding public issues in intercollegiate athletics.
