Formed as
a pilot project for Citizenship Through Sports Alliance (CTSA),
the mission of the Indianapolis Stay in Bounds project is to build
good character, and foster responsible behavior and cooperation
among the community's youth. Local scholastic, community, and
faith-based youth development organizations are collaborating
with collegiate, Olympic and professional organizations to attain
these goals by using participation in sports as a vehicle.
Through
its broad and unique community composition, Stay in Bounds provides
encouragement and support of participation in sport as a positive
character building activity. The project creates a network of
organizations that emphasize the values of Respect, Integrity,
Caring , Harmony, Excellence and Responsibility
(RICHER) within the community. Programs are available for third
through eighth grade. We also have a cross-age mentoring program
for high school students.
