Division III Financial Aid Committee Duties

NCAA DIVISION III COMMITTEE INFORMATION FOR INDIVIDUALS 
INTERESTED IN SERVING ON A COMMITTEE

NUMBER OF COMMITTEE MEMBERS:

  • Twelve members, four members shall be financial aid administrators, one shall be a member of the NCAA Division III Management Council, one shall be a president or chancellor and at least one shall be a member of ethnic minority.  At least four positions shall be allocated for men and at least four allocated for women.

GENERAL DUTIES OF COMMITTEE MEMBERS:

  • The committee shall be responsible for the review and consideration of the Division III bylaws that govern financial aid and oversee the annual financial aid reporting process and report to the Management Council on a regular basis regarding that topic.

NUMBER OF IN-PERSON MEETINGS PER YEAR (include approximate dates and days away from office):

  • Two to three in-person meetings per year (tentatively, February, June, November).  Each meeting is two days in length.

NUMBER OF CONFERENCE CALLS PER YEAR (include the usual day of the week and average length of call):

  • Approximately eight conference calls per year, one to three hours in length.
