Division I National SAAC Video Contest

What is it? The Division I National Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) would like to invite all Division I NCAA institutions to create a video promoting mental health awareness and breaking stigmas surrounding mental health. This is your way to show ways to “Break the Stigma.”

What to do? Get started now on creating your “Break the Stigma” video! Video submissions will be evaluated on effectiveness of message, creativity, quality and ability to demonstrate how to break the stigma and promote mental health awareness. Your video should also include how athletic administrators, faculty, coaches and student-athletes contribute to SAAC.

Deadline for Video Submission: April 15, 2018.

Winner will be Announced: May 1, 2018 (Mental Health Awareness Month).

Winning Prize: An award of $2,000 will be provided to the institution with the winning video to be used to support campus SAAC operations and activities.

What to Submit?

  • Send the YouTube web link to
  • Submissions must include the name, email address, and phone number of each individual who appears in the video or was involved in the production of the video, the name of the primary NCAA institution and conference (if applicable) and the name of the primary athletic administrator who is affiliated with the video submission.
  • Only complete submissions can be considered for the prize.

Maximum Length: 2 minutes.
