Committee Vacancies

Note: To be eligible to serve on a divisional cabinet or committee, or as a divisional representative on an Association-wide or common committee, an individual must be salaried on a regular basis by an institution or conference in the same division and perform a regular staff function representing at least 50 percent of the normal workload for a staff member at that institution or conference, unless otherwise specified.

Division I

The NCAA is soliciting nominations for the following committee vacancies.  The deadline for submitting nomination materials is May 29, 2015.

  • High School Review Committee – staff contact:  Nick SproullOne July 2015 vacancy.  Any subdivision.
  • Men’s and Women’s Fencing Committee – staff contact:  Eric BreeceOne September 2015 vacancy.  Any division or subdivision; West region; preference:  administrator. 
  • Men’s and Women’s Rifle Committee – staff contact:  Chad TolliverOne September 2015 vacancy.  Any division or subdivision; coach.
  • Division I Degree Completion Award Committee – staff contact:  Ellen SummersOne immediate vacancy.  This is a non-legislated award selection committee. The committee’s composition is as follows:  Seven members.  At least one male and one female; at least one athletics administrator, at least one FAR, at least one financial aid administrator, at least one student affairs administrator and/or an individual from academic affairs.  Only one member per conference.   Two four-year terms.

In April, the three NCAA divisions approved changes to the composition of the NCAA Committee on Competitive Safeguards and Medical Aspects of Sports to further add to and define the required expertise for service on the committee.  Due to these legislative changes we are seeking nominations for the following immediate and September 2015 vacancies:

Immediate vacancies:

  • One clinical sports psychologist;
  • One active lawyer practicing sports law or in a related field, or a faculty member in sports law or a related field;
  • One female AD or SWA.

September vacancies:

  • One registered dietitian who specializes in sports nutrition;
  • One strength and conditioning specialist certified by an accredited strength and conditioning certification body;
  • One female athletic trainer.

The deadline for submitting nomination materials is June 12, 2015.

The NCAA is soliciting the nominations for the following committee vacancies.  The deadline for submitting nomination materials is June 19, 2015.

  • Division I Amateurism Fact-Finding Committee – staff contact:  Jen Roe.  This is a newly created committee.  There are seven immediate vacancies.  At least four of the appointees must be from autonomy conferences.
  • Men’s and Women’s Fencing Committee – staff contact:  Eric BreeceOne immediate vacancy.  Midwest region; preference:  coach.  Men’s or women’s fencing interests.

Division II

The NCAA is soliciting nominations for an immediate vacancy on the Division II Field Hockey Committee – staff contact:  Roberta Page.  The appointee will replace Shelly Morris, Stonehill College, who resigned from the committee.  The appointee must be a coach from the East regionThe deadline for submitting nomination materials is May 22, 2015.  Nominations must be submitted online using the login information below.
