Committee Vacancies

Note: To be eligible to serve on a divisional cabinet or committee, or as a divisional representative on an Association-wide or common committee, an individual must be salaried on a regular basis by an institution or conference in the same division and perform a regular staff function representing at least 50 percent of the normal workload for a staff member at that institution or conference, unless otherwise specified.

Division I

Division I and Association-Wide September 2017 Committee Vacancies

The NCAA is soliciting nominations for the following committee vacancies. 

Submission deadline: December 9, 2016:

Division I nominations must be submitted by a Division I conference. Contact your conference if you are interested in being considered for any Division I committee vacancy.

Division II

The NCAA is soliciting nominations for the following committee vacancies:

  • The NCAA is soliciting nominations for an immediate vacancy on the Women’s Gymnastics Committee – staff contact:  Molly Simons.  One vacancy.  Division II or Division III, coach or administrator, any region.  The appointee will replace Amy Edmonds, formerly of University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.

Division III

The NCAA is soliciting nominations for the following committee vacancies:

Submission deadline: January 6, 2016:

  • The NCAA is soliciting nominations for an immediate chancellor or president vacancy on the Division III Membership Committee - staff contact: Jay Jones.  The appointee will replace F. Javier Cevallos, Framingham State University, who has been appointed to the Division III Presidents Council.  The Membership Committee reviews issues related to Division III membership, including issues and educational efforts affecting exploratory, provisional, reclassifying and continuing members, monitoring and auditing of sports-sponsorship requirements, and coordinating educational programs for the membership regarding NCAA legislation. Additionally, the committee imposes penalties for the failure of any member to meet conditions and obligations of membership, including sports-sponsorship requirements. The committee meets in-person two times per year, in February and June. The committee also conducts monthly two-hour conference calls.  The following conferences are currently represented on the committee and are therefore not eligible for consideration:  American Southwest Conference, Centennial Conference, Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference, Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference, Skyline Conference, Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, USA South Athletic Conference.
  • Division III Strategic Alliance Matching Grant Selection Committee One vacancy.  The appointee will replace Matthew Pohren, formerly of Hartwick College.  Preference will be given to nominees from Region 2 (New York, Pennsylvania).  The following conferences are currently represented on the committee and are therefore not eligible for consideration:  Little East Conference, New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference, Ohio Athletic Conference, Upper Midwest Athletic Conference.
  • Women’s Gymnastics Committee – staff contact:  Molly Simons.  One vacancy.  Division II or Division III, coach or administrator, any region.  The appointee will replace Amy Edmonds, formerly of University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
  • Division III Women’s Lacrosse Committee – staff contact:  John Bugner.  One vacancy.  New England region; coach or administrator.  The appointee will replace Mindy Mangels, Wellesley College, who resigned from the committee.
  • Division III Men’s Soccer Committee – staff contact:  John Bugner.  One vacancy.  North region; coach or administrator.  The appointee will replace Kirk Artist, Wartburg College, who resigned from the committee.
