Assistant sports information director

Bob Lowe was named assistant sports information director at Guilford. Lowe, who has 20 years of athletics communications experience, was the director of sports information at Berry from 2012 to 2016.



Joshua Simmons, head coach at Barton since May 2011 and a part of the program for more than a decade, has stepped down to pursue other opportunities.

Women’s basketball assistants

Hofstra added Darius Faulk, a 2016 graduate of the school and a former basketball team captain, as director of women’s basketball operations. After her graduation, Faulk played professionally in Finland.

Men’s and women’s cross country and track and field assistants

Trinity (Connecticut) hired Michael Goulet as assistant coach for the men’s and women’s cross country and track and field programs. Goulet, a 2011 Trinity graduate who was a thrower with the track program and played varsity football, joins the staff after coaching for four years at the high school level.

Men’s and women’s lacrosse

Rick Bagby was named head coach of the men’s team at Massachusetts Maritime. Bagby served for five seasons as an assistant coach at Babson.


Robert Grays, a sophomore cornerback on the Midwestern State football team, died Sept. 19 after sustaining a neck injury in the team’s Sept. 16 game. Grays, a business major from Houston, was 19.
