Academic Progress Rates for baseball score big after tightening of NCAA rules

Baseball is a numbers game, but all the statistics were disappointing in 2006 when it came to academic performance of Division I baseball players. That’s when then-NCAA President Myles Brand put together an ad hoc working group charged with making changes to improve the Academic Progress Rate and Graduation Success Rate in the sport. Today, the numbers are on the move – in the right direction.
