Southern New Hampshire University men’s soccer student-athlete reprimanded for misconduct

Southern New Hampshire University men’s soccer student-athlete Mohamed Toufik received a public reprimand and penalties for misconduct during the 2013 NCAA Division II Men’s Soccer Championship.

The Division II Men’s Soccer committee found that Mohamed Toufik engaged in unsportsmanlike conduct and fighting, by participating in a dispute with an opposing player during the second half of the national championship game. During the fight, Toufik punched and kicked an opposing player.

“The committee was extremely disappointed in this behavior,” said Angela Pohl, chair of the NCAA Division II Men’s Soccer Committee and senior women administrator and associate athletic director at Saginaw Valley State University. “These types of actions only serve to discredit the student-athlete, Southern New Hampshire University and the NCAA Division II Men’s Soccer Championship.”
