Presidents and chancellors — Dr. Robert C. Robbins, president and CEO of Texas Medical Center since 2012 and a cardiac surgeon, was named president of Arizona. He is scheduled to start at the university June 1 … Mary Holz-Clause was named chancellor at Minnesota-Crookston, pending approval by the University of Minnesota Board of Regents. Holz-Clause, who is scheduled to begin work June 30, has served since 2014 as dean of the agriculture college at Cal Poly Pomona … Michigan Tech President Glenn D. Mroz announced he plans to step down as president and return to the ranks of faculty no sooner than June 30, 2018 … Indiana University-Purdue University, Fort Wayne, Chancellor Vicky Carwein announced she plans to retire by the end of 2017 … William & Mary President Taylor Reveley announced he would retire June 30, 2018, after leading the university for a decade.

Athletics directors — University of Mary Athletics Director Roger Thomas will retire June 30. Thomas has held the post since 2008 … Steve Williamson is stepping down as athletics director and women’s basketball coach at Iowa Wesleyan to accept a job as head women’s basketball coach at William Penn University in Oskaloosa, Iowa. He has served as athletics director for three years and head basketball coach for 13 … Bates selected Jason Fein as director of athletics. Fein, who will take his new post July 1, has served as director of athletics at Drew since 2008 … Rachel Burleson, associate athletics director for administration and compliance at Missouri Southern State, announced she will be leaving this summer to become athletics director at Franklin Pierce … Boston College named Martin Jarmond athletics director. Jarmond most recently was deputy director of athletics at Ohio State … Kami Gray, senior associate athletics director for Saint Mary’s (California), will serve as interim director of athletics and recreation for the college.

Associate athletics directors — Western Illinois added Danielle Surprenant as senior associate athletics director for internal operations. Surprenant worked the past seven years at Quincy as associate athletics director for compliance and internal operations.

Coaches

Men’s basketball — Georgetown named Patrick Ewing head coach. Ewing, who led the Hoyas to three NCAA championship game appearances and the 1984 national title as a student-athlete, is a member of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. He has been an NBA assistant coach for 15 years, most recently as associate head coach for the Charlotte Hornets … Maryville (Missouri) hired Marc Stricker as head coach. Stricker, who previously worked two seasons as an assistant coach at Maryville, spent the 2016-17 season at Oral Roberts … Washburn hired Brett Ballard as head coach. Ballard spent the past three seasons as an assistant coach at Wake Forest … R.J. Allen was promoted to head coach at Newman. Allen spent six seasons as an assistant, including the past two as associate head coach … Bob Richey was promoted to head coach at Furman. Richey recently completed his sixth season as a member of the Furman coaching staff. He had served as interim head coach since March … Brian Dutcher has become head coach at San Diego State. Dutcher, who has been at San Diego State for 18 seasons, held the title of associate head coach/head coach in waiting the last six years … Oral Roberts released Scott Sutton as head coach. Assistant coach Rodney Perry was named interim head coach.

Women’s basketball — Arkansas hired Mike Neighbors as head coach. Neighbors will coach at his alma mater after four seasons as head coach at Washington, where he led the Huskies to their first Final Four in 2016. Washington named Jody Wynn head coach. Wynn served as head coach at Long Beach State for the previous eight seasons … Megan Duffy was named head coach at Miami (Ohio). Duffy spent the previous three seasons as an assistant coach at Michigan … Kristen Gillespie was hired as head coach at Illinois State. Gillespie led Lewis to a 51-12 record over the past two seasons … Southeastern Louisiana promoted assistant coach Ayla Guzzardo to head coach … Lafayette announced it was parting ways with Theresa Grentz, who had been head coach for two seasons. Associate head coach C.K. Calhoun will serve as interim coach … Saint Martin’s hired Christy Martin as head coach. Martin spent the past three seasons at Tacoma Community College in Tacoma, Washington … Maine appointed Amy Vachon to serve as interim head coach for the 2017-18 season while coach Richard Barron is on extended medical leave … Freddie Murray was named head coach at Grambling after filling the job on an interim basis since July 2016 … Christine Collins-Kiernan was selected as head coach at Concordia (California) after serving for seven years as assistant coach at California State University, Northridge … Jim Jabir was named Florida Atlantic’s head coach. Jabir has 29 years of head coaching experience at five collegiate programs, most recently at Dayton … Grand Canyon hired Nicole Powell as head coach. Powell, who played at Stanford and was a WNBA All-Star, was an assistant coach for three seasons at Oregon.

Men’s and women’s cross country and track and field — Scott Trimble, North Alabama head men’s and women’s cross country and women’s track coach, has resigned. Trimble, who was a runner at North Alabama in the late 1980s, took over the program in 2003. Assistant coach Heath White will be interim coach through the end of the current season.

Field hockey — Moravian announced Kristen Gillis as head coach. Gillis spent two seasons as head coach at New England College … Adelphi assistant coach Mary Moore was promoted to head coach.

Football assistants — Delaware assistant coach Fontel Mines has left to become inside receivers coach at James Madison.

Men’s and women’s ice hockey — Rensselaer named Dave Smith head coach of the men’s program. Smith has led the men’s team at Canisius for 12 seasons … Omaha promoted Mike Gabinet to head coach of the men’s program. Gabinet, who played defense for the Mavericks from 2000 to 2004, has been associate head coach since April 2016 … Michigan head coach Red Berenson is retiring after 33 seasons at the helm of the program. He will remain as a special advisor to the director of athletics. Berenson’s teams at Michigan went 848-426-92 and captured the 1996 and 1998 NCAA national championships.

Men’s and women’s lacrosse — Davis & Elkins promoted assistant coach Matthew Justice to head coach of the men’s program, effective May 1. Current head coach Brian Anken is stepping down to become athletics director at St. Joseph’s Collegiate Institute in Buffalo, New York.

Men’s and women’s soccer — Rhode Island hired Megan Jessee as head coach of the women’s team. Jessee spent nine seasons as an assistant coach at Wake Forest … Jamey Newsome was named head coach of the women’s team at Mars Hill. Newsome most recently was assistant director of Darlington School Soccer Academy in Rome, Georgia, and previously was head coach of the women’s team at Auburn Montgomery … Colorado State-Pueblo hired Sierra Doherty-Cardenas as head coach of the women’s program. She most recently was head coach at Otero Junior College in La Junta, Colorado, for two seasons.

Men’s and women’s swimming and diving — Julian Krug, head diving coach at Pittsburgh, is retiring after 38 years leading the team … Bev Ball, who started McMurry’s men’s and women’s swimming program in 2000 after teaching and coaching swimming for five decades at the middle school and high school level, is stepping down as the program’s head coach. Ball will remain involved with War Hawks swimming, however. Casey Pacheco, a 2004 McMurry graduate and high school swim coach, was named head coach.

Beach volleyball and men’s and women’s volleyball — West Virginia Wesleyan hired Nancy Wheeler as head coach of the women’s team. Wheeler most recently was head coach at Penn State Fayette in southwestern Pennsylvania … Joelle Mafo was named head coach of the women’s team at Mount Olive. Mafo spent the past five years as assistant coach at Jackson State.

Conferences

Lake Superior State Athletics Director Kris Dunbar was selected as commissioner of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

Deaths

Danielle Cordova, a freshman catcher on the New Mexico Highlands softball team, died April 5 in a car accident. She was 19 years old.

Presidents and chancellors — Charleston Southern President Jairy C. Hunter Jr. will transition to president emeritus in May 2018 after 34 years of service … New York Institute of Technology appointed Henry C. “Hank” Foley as president. Foley, who will assume his post June 1, has been serving as interim chancellor of Missouri since November 2015.

Athletics directors — Roman Banks was appointed director of athletics at Southern University after holding the post in an interim capacity for more than 18 months. Banks, who also was serving as head coach of the men’s basketball program, will step down from his coaching position.

Associate athletics director — Douglas Walker was named senior associate athletics director for external affairs at Texas A&M. Walker, a 1989 Texas A&M graduate, spent 11 years at Alabama, most recently as senior associate athletics director for communications … Illinois-Springfield announced the addition of Roy L. Brown III as deputy athletics director. Brown spent 3 1/2 years at Towson as the senior associate director of athletics for external relations.

Assistant athletics directors — Tim Burke is retiring as assistant athletics director for compliance and student services at Queens (North Carolina) after nearly 10 years with the Royals.

Coaches

Men’s basketball — Miami (Ohio) hired Jack Owens as head coach. Owens spent nine seasons at Purdue, including the past six years as associate head coach … Jim Hayford was named Seattle’s head coach after six years at Eastern Washington. Shantay Legans, who has been on Eastern Washington’s staff for eight years, was promoted to head coach … Matt Figger, associate head coach and recruiting coordinator at South Carolina, was introduced as head coach at Austin Peay State. Figger, who has been at South Carolina since 2012, helped guide the Gamecocks to the Final Four this spring … Dayton hired Anthony Grant as head coach. Grant was on the coaching staff of the NBA’s Oklahoma City Thunder for the past two seasons after nine seasons as head coach at Alabama and VCU … Joe Pasternack was named head coach at UC Santa Barbara. Pasternack served as associate head coach at Arizona for the past four seasons … Metropolitan State University of Denver parted ways with head coach Derrick Clark. Clark guided MSU Denver to the Division II championship game in 2013, a semifinal appearance in 2014, and an Elite Eight appearance in 2012 … Southern University associate head coach Morris Scott was named interim head coach … Steve Fisher, San Diego State’s all-time winningest coach and the winningest coach in Mountain West history, will retire after 18 seasons with the Aztecs. Fisher, 72, who compiled a 386-209 record at San Diego State, will continue to work at the university in a part-time capacity … Craig Neal was relieved of his duties after four years as head coach at New Mexico. New Mexico named Paul Weir head coach of the Lobos. Weir previously was head coach at New Mexico State for one season and associate head coach from 2007 to 2016 … Ryan Ridder was named head coach at Bethune-Cookman. Ridder spent four years at Daytona State College in Daytona Beach, Florida … C.B. McGrath was named head coach at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. McGrath has been on the coaching staff at North Carolina for 14 seasons … Jaret von Rosenberg was named head coach at Texas A&M-Commerce. He served as an assistant coach at Hartford the past two years … Lamont Paris, who spent the past seven years on the coaching staff at Wisconsin, most recently as associate head coach, will take the reins at Chattanooga.

Women’s basketball — Missouri Southern State announced Ronnie Ressel as head coach of the women’s basketball team. Ressel spent last season as interim head coach after serving three years as associate head coach … Minot State named Mark Graupe head coach. Graupe spent four seasons as head coach at Dickinson State University in Dickinson, North Dakota … Murray State hired Rechelle Turner as head coach. Turner had spent the previous 21 seasons as the head coach at Murray High School in Kentucky. A 1996 graduate of Murray State, she played three seasons for the Racers … DeLisha Milton-Jones, a two-time Olympic gold medalist and 17-year veteran of the WNBA, was promoted to head coach at Pepperdine. Milton-Jones, who retired from professional basketball in the summer of 2016, has been an assistant coach at Pepperdine for the past season … Keitha Adams was named head coach at Wichita State. Adams has been head coach at UTEP for 16 years … Arizona State associate head coach Amanda Levens was hired as head coach at Nevada. Levens previously served as an assistant coach with the Wolf Pack for five seasons … Northeastern State named Fala Bullock head coach. Bullock, who played for Northeastern State and served as a graduate assistant for the River Hawks, spent the past four seasons as head coach at Armstrong State.

Men’s and women’s cross country and track and field — Colorado Mesa head men’s and women’s track and field coach Brian Beeman and assistant coach Michael Beeman resigned.

Men’s and women’s cross country and track and field assistants — Hofstra appointed Douglas Dourado as assistant coach for men’s and women’s cross country. Dourado led the Pride team during the 2015 season. 

Field hockey — Hannah Dave was promoted to head coach at Newberry after serving as interim head coach for two months. Previously, she was an assistant at Newberry for two seasons.

Football — Idaho State head coach Mike Kramer is retiring after six seasons. Former Idaho State offensive coordinator Rob Phenicie was named head coach. Phenicie, who had been with Idaho State for two seasons as the wide receivers coach, was promoted to offensive coordinator in January before recently leaving for a position at the University of Northern Iowa … Edinboro appointed Wayne Bradford as interim head coach.

Men’s and women’s ice hockey — After 15 seasons as the head coach of Saint Anselm’s men’s team, Ed Seney is resigning. Assistant coach Larry Rocha will be interim head coach … Elmira appointed Tim Crowley as head coach of the women’s ice hockey program. Crowley, who was interim coach of the ice hockey team in 2016-17 and has served as an assistant for the men’s team, will maintain his role as the head coach of the women’s golf team.

Men’s and women’s soccer — Shaw named Luis Cortell head coach of its new men’s and women’s varsity teams, which will begin competition in Division II in the fall. Cortell spent the past year leading the men’s and women’s club teams … Eastern New Mexico head women’s coach Omar Morales resigned to join the staff of the Houston Dash as an assistant coach for the National Women’s Soccer League team … Cal State Monterey Bay named Shane Carew as head coach of its men’s team. Carew has been on the coaching staff at San Jose State since 2014. 

Men’s and women’s tennis — Virginia men’s head coach Brian Boland announced he is leaving May 29 to become head of men’s tennis for USTA Player Development. Boland has led Virginia to NCAA titles in three of the last four seasons.

Beach volleyball and men’s and women’s volleyball — Jeff Lamm, Tampa’s assistant women’s indoor coach for the past 15 years, was named head coach of the school’s new beach volleyball team, which will begin competition in spring 2018.

Conferences

The Big South Conference named Stephen Dolan assistant commissioner for compliance. Dolan spent the past nine years as assistant athletics director at Gardner-Webb.

Deaths

Ken Sparks, who retired as Carson-Newman’s head football coach in November after 37 seasons, died March 29 at age 73 after a five-year battle with cancer. Sparks finished his coaching career with a record of 338-99-2 … Former Big Ten Commissioner Wayne Duke died March 29 at the age of 88. Before leading the Big Ten from 1971 to 1989, Duke worked at the NCAA, where he began the compilation of the NCAA record books. He also served as commissioner of the Big Eight Conference.

Presidents and chancellors — Edward B. Montgomery, dean and professor of economics at Georgetown’s McCourt School of Public Policy, will become president of Western Michigan on Aug. 1. Montgomery was deputy secretary of labor in President Bill Clinton’s administration. During President Barack Obama’s administration, Montgomery was a member of the president’s auto task force and led the interagency White House Council for Auto Communities and Workers … Jeff Elwell, dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at Chattanooga, was named president of the Eastern New Mexico University system … Alaska Anchorage Chancellor Tom Case plans to retire June 30. Sam Gingerich, executive vice chancellor and provost, will serve as interim chancellor … Timothy Mottet was selected president of Colorado State-Pueblo. Mottet has been provost at Northwest Missouri State since 2014.

Athletics directors — Gene Taylor was named athletics director at Kansas State. Taylor, most recently deputy athletics director at Iowa, was previously athletics director at North Dakota State, where he led the transition from Division II to Division I … UNLV appointed Desiree Reed-Francois as athletics director, effective June 1. Reed-Francois is currently deputy athletics director at Virginia Tech … Stacy Danley was named athletics director at South Carolina State. Danley spent the past two years with the SLD Sports Marketing Group.

Associate athletics directors — Tennessee announced the resignation of Senior Associate Athletics Director Mike Vollmar. Vollmar joined Tennessee in 2013 … Tulane hired Jana Woodson as associate athletics director for external operations. Woodson previously was associate athletics director for marketing at Rice.

Assistant athletics directors — Grambling hired Karen M. Carty as assistant athletics director for marketing and communications. Carty previously was director of marketing in the South Carolina State athletics department

Men’s basketball — Presbyterian head coach Gregg Nibert resigned after 28 seasons leading the Blue Hose. John Reynolds was named interim head coach. He recently completed his fourth season as an assistant coach for Presbyterian … Northeastern State named Mark Downey as head coach. Downey most recently spent two seasons as the top assistant at Indiana University-Purdue University, Fort Wayne … Nick Pasqua was named head coach at Tusculum. Pasqua has been on the coaching staff at King (Tennessee) for nine years, including six as associate head coach … Donnie Marsh was selected as head coach at Alabama A&M. Marsh served as the associate head coach at Texas Southern for the past two seasons … Bluefield State hired interim head coach Derrick Price on a permanent basis. Price previously was at rival Bluefield College for five seasons as an assistant … Rock Carter is stepping down as head coach at Whittier. He will retain his position as senior associate athletics director. Whittier assistant coach Mark Jensen will be elevated to interim head basketball coach … New Mexico State hired Chris Jans as head coach. Jans spent the past season on staff at Wichita State, where he was elevated to associate head coach. Previously, he was head coach at Bowling Green.

Women’s basketball — Adell Harris has resigned after five years as head coach at the University of North Carolina Wilmington … Tennessee State hired Jessica Kern as head coach. Kern most recently was head coach at Mississippi Valley.

Men’s and women’s cross country and track and field — Sandy Fowler was named director of track and field for the men’s and women’s programs at Coastal Carolina. Fowler, who most recently was an assistant coach with Michigan’s women’s track and field program, also has been a head coach at Alabama and a Team USA coach. As a student-athlete, Fowler was an All-America shot putter at Northeastern.

Field hockey — Saint Francis (Pennsylvania) hired Betta Ceretta as head coach. Ceretta most recently served as an assistant at Brown. She also was head coach of the Uruguayan women’s national team from 2009 to 2011.

Men’s and women’s golf — Clarissa Childs has stepped down after five years as head coach of Newberry’s women’s program to become executive director of the Women’s South Carolina Golf Association.

Men’s and women’s ice hockey — Grant Potulny was named head coach of Northern Michigan’s men’s team. Potulny most recently was an assistant coach at Minnesota for eight seasons.

Men’s and women’s lacrosse — Walter Alessi announced he is retiring at the end of the 2017 season after 43 years as head coach of the MIT men’s team.

Men’s and women’s soccer — Talon Stroud, head men’s coach at King (Tennessee), is stepping down, citing personal reasons and family obligations. Stroud wrapped up his first season as the Tornado head coach in 2016 … Nebraska-Kearney promoted Chloe Roberts to head coach of the women’s program. Roberts, an assistant coach at Nebraska-Kearney the past three years, has served as interim head coach since December.

Softball — Jill Webb was promoted to head coach at Northwestern Oklahoma State. Webb, who has been a member of the staff since August, has served as interim head coach for about two months.

Men’s and women’s tennis — Minnesota head women’s coach Chuck Merzbacher announced he will retire at the end of the season. Merzbacher, who has been a Division I head coach for 28 years, took over the Gopher women’s tennis program in 2012.

Beach volleyball and men’s and women’s volleyball — Morris Cephas resigned as head coach of the women’s team at King (Tennessee) to accept an assistant coach position at Austin Peay State. Cephas recently completed his third season as head coach at King … Claflin hired Ashley Jordan as head coach of the women’s team. Jordan has coached on several levels in the Columbia, South Carolina, area, including with the South Carolina Midlands Volleyball Club … Illinois-Chicago hired Justin Ingram as head coach of the women’s team, pending approval by the board of trustees. Ingram most recently was head coach at Southern Illinois for the past five seasons.

Wrestling — Keith Gavin was named head coach at Pittsburgh. Gavin, a 2008 Pittsburgh graduate, previously was an assistant coach at Oklahoma and Virginia.

Presidents and chancellors — J. Keith Newman was elected president of Southern Nazarene. Newman, who most recently was CEO and chancellor of Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Indiana, will take office Aug. 1.

Athletics directors — South Carolina Aiken announced Jim Herlihy as athletics director. Herlihy previously was senior associate athletics director for administration and finance at Massachusetts … Terry Beattie will become West Chester’s interim athletics director, effective June 27. Beattie is currently associate athletics director overseeing facilities, facility rentals and game management … Christian Spears was named interim director of athletics at Eastern Michigan. Spears is in his third year as the university’s deputy director of athletics … Sacramento State appointed Mark Orr as director of athletics. Orr has served as director of athletics and recreational sports at Saint Mary’s (California) since 2006 … Mike DeWitt will assume the role of Ohio Wesleyan’s interim athletics director beginning in mid-May. DeWitt is associate athletics director and men’s basketball coach at Ohio Wesleyan … William “Bill” Bradshaw has agreed to serve as director of intercollegiate athletics and recreation at La Salle. Bradshaw has held the position in an interim capacity since March 2016 and previously served as athletics director at La Salle from 1978 to 1986. He also worked as athletics director at DePaul and Temple … Washington U. in St. Louis named Anthony J. Azama director of athletics. Azama spent the past two years as the senior associate athletics director for external operations at Columbia … Loyola Maryland announced Jim Paquette will step down in June as assistant vice president and director of athletics, a role he has filled since 2010.

Associate athletics directors — Edward M. Kull, senior vice president at GENYOUth Foundation, was hired as senior director of development and senior associate athletics director at Fordham.

Men’s basketball — LSU named Will Wade head coach. Wade guided VCU to 51 wins and to back-to-back appearances in the NCAA tournament over the past two seasons … Nova Southeastern selected Jim Crutchfield as head coach. Crutchfield spent 13 seasons at West Liberty. Ben Howlett was introduced as head coach at West Liberty. Howlett spent the past six seasons as the lead assistant coach … West Virginia Wesleyan promoted Jack Meriwether to head coach. Meriwether served as interim head coach for two months … Texas A&M-Commerce head coach Sam Walker is stepping down to become executive director of alumni engagement for the university … Massachusetts hired Matt McCall as head coach. McCall coached the previous two seasons at Chattanooga … Amherst assistant coach Kevin Hopkins was named head coach at Muhlenberg. The 6-foot-10 Hopkins also played for Amherst, helping his team win the 2007 Division III championship. After graduating in 2008, he played professionally in Germany for two years … Baker Dunleavy was named head coach at Quinnipiac. Dunleavy spent seven years on the men's basketball staff at Villanova, most recently as associate head coach … Keith Dambrot, who was head coach at Akron for 13 seasons, will take over as head coach at Duquesne. John Groce, who formerly coached at Illinois, has taken over the Akron head coaching position. … California promoted Wyking Jones to head coach. Jones has been an assistant with the Golden Bears for two seasons … Oklahoma State promoted assistant coach Mike Boynton to head coach … Pittsburg State hired Kim Anderson as head coach. Anderson spent the past three seasons as head coach at his alma mater, Missouri … Jerrod Calhoun was named head coach at Youngstown State. Calhoun spent the past five seasons as head coach at Fairmont State, where he accumulated an overall record of 124-38 and led the Falcons to the 2017 NCAA Division II national championship game. Fairmont State named Joe Mazzulla as head coach. Mazzulla was an assistant coach at Fairmont State for three seasons before serving as an assistant coach in the NBA Development League last year … Drake named Niko Medved head coach. Medved, the 2017 Southern Conference Coach of the Year, has served as head coach at Furman the past four seasons … Chad Warner was named head coach at Flagler. Warner, who previously was head coach at Shorter, most recently served as recruiting coordinator and special assistant to the head coach at Valparaiso … Portland State named Barret Peery head coach. Peery most recently was associate head coach at Santa Clara … Northeastern State head coach Jason Tinsley is stepping down after his current contract concludes April 30 … Cleveland State hired Dennis Felton as head coach. Felton, who most recently was an assistant at Tulsa, previously served as head coach at Georgia and Western Kentucky.

Women’s basketball — Alaska Fairbanks hired Brett Sawyer as interim head coach. Sawyer served as assistant coach for the Nanooks for the past two seasons … Nancy Fahey was named head coach at Illinois. Fahey spent 31 years at Washington U. in St. Louis and guided the bears to five Division III national championships … Florida hired Cameron Newbauer as head coach. Newbauer spent the previous four seasons as head coach at Belmont … Jim Turgeon stepped down as head coach of Colorado State-Pueblo to accept the same position at Denver. During Turgeon’s two years as coach, Colorado State-Pueblo had a record of 54-10 … Lynette Woodard was promoted to head coach at Winthrop after serving as interim head coach. Woodard, who was hired as an assistant in August, is a two-time U.S. Olympian and was the first woman to play for the Harlem Globetrotters.

Beach volleyball and men’s and women’s volleyball — Dallas announced Kelli Trautmann as head coach of the women’s team. Trautmann most recently served as acting head coach at Allegheny. She replaces Prentice Lewis, who resigned in mid-February … Anderson (South Carolina) announced Todd Hay as head coach of the women’s team. Hay served five seasons as head coach at Newberry … Rhode Island promoted Steve Santonastaso to head coach of the women’s team. Santonastaso has been on the coaching staff for 12 seasons … Michaela Franklin was named head coach of the women’s team at Clemson. Franklin had been associate head coach at Iowa since 2014.

Beach volleyball and men’s and women’s volleyball assistants — Wingate hired Catherine Brusie as assistant volleyball coach. Brusie spent two years at Campbell.

Football — Justin Lustig is stepping down as head coach at Edinboro to become special teams coordinator and running backs coach at Syracuse. In his one year at Edinboro, Lustig led the Fighting Scots to a 9-2 record. They were 0-11 the previous year. 

Football assistants — Delaware assistant coach Fontel Mines is leaving the Blue Hens staff to pursue another coaching opportunity. Mines worked as wide receivers coach and recruiting coordinator.

Men’s and women’s soccer — Georgia Southwestern hired Enrique Rodriguez as head coach of its women’s team. Rodriguez has been a volunteer coach on the women’s soccer staff at Georgia since January 2015.
