Nominations now open for 2014 NCAA Woman of the Year

NCAA member schools are invited to nominate their outstanding female student-athletes for the NCAA Woman of the Year program. This program honors graduating female student-athletes who have distinguished themselves throughout their collegiate careers in the areas of academic achievement, athletics excellence, service and leadership.

All school nominees will be recognized by the NCAA and will be eligible for consideration as a Woman of the Year nominee for their conference. From the conference nominees, the Woman of the Year selection committee will choose 10 nominees from each NCAA division to comprise the Top 30 Woman of the Year honorees.

The NCAA will celebrate the accomplishments of the Top 30 honorees and announce the Woman of the Year at an awards dinner Oct. 19 in Indianapolis.

Ifeatu Okafor from Texas Tech University and the Big 12 Conference was named the 2013 NCAA Woman of the Year. Click here for a list of previous winners and to view videos from last year’s awards dinner.
