Deadline to submit 2014 Woman of the Year nominations approaching

Submissions of outstanding female student-athletes due by May 16

NCAA schools are encouraged to nominate an outstanding female student-athlete for the NCAA Woman of the Year program, which honors graduating female student-athletes who have distinguished themselves throughout their collegiate careers in the areas of academic achievement, athletics excellence, service and leadership. Nominations must be submitted by May 16.

A link to the nomination form has been transmitted to each school’s athletics director, senior woman administrator and sports information director, among others. The nomination form can also be accessed by clicking here

All school nominees will be recognized by the NCAA and will be eligible for consideration as a conference Woman of the Year. Ten nominees from each NCAA division will be selected from the conference nominees to comprise the Top 30 NCAA Woman of the Year honorees.

The NCAA will celebrate the accomplishments of the Top 30 honorees and announce the Woman of the Year at an awards dinner on Oct. 19, in Indianapolis.
