Anucha Browne honored with Trailblazer Award

Anucha Browne, NCAA vice president of women’s basketball championships, has been awarded the Kennedy King Memorial Initiative’s (KKMI) Trailblazer Award for her work and commitment to the Indianapolis community.

“The Kennedy King Memorial Initiative honors those who have shown extraordinary leadership qualities and who continue to inspire the community,” said Judge David J. Dreyer, co-chair of the Kennedy King Memorial Initiative. “Anucha Browne is very deserving and we are proud to recognize her and her accomplishments.”

This award recognizes Browne’s numerous contributions and achievements in business, sports and community. The board found Browne’s life and work represent the standard and shared ideals embodied in KKMI’s mission, that is, service above self, strength from personal challenge, standing up for one’s beliefs, positive solutions and that one person can make a difference.
