What is the cost for student-athletes to attend?

How will participants travel to the Leadership Forum?

Participants located within approximately 300 miles of the Leadership Forum site (Orlando, FL) are required to travel via ground transportation unless the national office grants an exception. However, the NCAA will reimburse the institution for mileage at $0.53 per mile. Air transportation will be provided for participants traveling more than 300 miles to the 2018-19 Leadership Forum site.

Can student-athletes attend the Leadership Forum without a coach or administrator?

Yes. A coach, administrator or faculty member is not required to attend with their institution's two student-athletes. For the attending coach, administrator or faculty member, the Leadership Forum is a professional development opportunity that enhances leadership skills and contributes to their role on campus.

For selected participants, is there a requirement to attend the entire Leadership Forum?

Yes. All participants, including coaches, administrators and faculty, are required to attend and participate in all Leadership Forum activities.

I work or attend an all-female, or all-male, NCAA institution.  Can we still select two student-athletes?

Yes. A single-gender institution may select two student-athletes (of the same gender); institutions are strongly encouraged to select at least one participant who is a person of color or international representative. Each student-athlete must represent a different NCAA-sponsored sport.
